The eBox 5.0 Expansion solution offers a cost-effective platform for PCIe 1.0 to 5.0 device integration. Powered by a modular ATX power supply, the eBox chassis is designed to deliver low latency, high throughput performance expandability with proper airflow. Dolphin's road map extends this to future PCIe 6.0 and 7.0 systems. Using copper or fiber optic cables, you can place the eBox in the same rack as the server or 100 meters away.
Hot-Add
Using a MXH530 PCIe 5.0 host card in the server will enable PCIe Hot-Add - this means you can power on the expansion box any time - before or after the server has booted.
PCIe 5.0 Active Backplane
The MXB585 active PCIe 5.0 5 slot backplane is our high performance building block.
At its core is the reliable Microchip Switchtec® PCIe 5.0 PFX switch, enabling fast, consistent communication across connected devices. With support for up to 5 PCIe 5.0 add-in cards, this chassis is ideal for compact high-performance systems requiring high bandwidth and low latency.
