Verifying the installation

Verify the software installation

On the compute nodes, you can check the status of the various services by the following commands:

C:Program FilesDolphin Software>sc query pcisci

C:Program FilesDolphin Software>sc query sisci

C:Program FilesDolphin Software>sc query scinodeman

On the front-end node, you can check if the interconnect manager service by running the following command:

C:Program FilesDolphin Software>sc query scinetman

SCI Network connectivity test:

We recommend to use the tool scidiag to verify connectivity within the SCI cluster. Check for errors or warnings printed on the console. Typical use:

C:Program FilesDolphin Softwareutil>scidiag.exe -V 0

Low level SCI performance test:

We recommend running the tool scibench2 to verify the performance for your chipset and installation.

The application must be started on two systems. Typical use:

System A:

C:Program FilesDolphin Softwaredemo>scibench2.exe -rn systemB_nodeId -client

System B:

C:Program FilesDolphin Softwaredemo>scibench2.exe -rn systemA_nodeId -server

Please compare the performance with the numbers found at http://www.dolphinics.com/products/benchmarks.html The value for systemB_nodeId and systemB_nodeId can be found by running the

C:Program FilesDolphin Softwaredemo>query

SISCI application on each node.
