Various environmental legislation such as the European Union (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Directive restrict the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) in electrical and electronic equipment.
Dolphin products are available in either leaded or lead-free format, our customers would only need to determine what is required for their application to ensure compliance with environmental legislation. All Dolphin products which contain lead in the solder or plating are RoHS 5/6 compliant because they do not contain hexavalent chromium, cadmium, mercury, PBBs and PBDEs
